Observation of World Mental Health Day 2025
- The Indian Medical Association,
Cachar Branch, observed World Mental Health Day
on 15th October 2025 at Don Bosco School, Silchar. Doctors and nurses from the
Department of Psychiatry, Silchar Medical College and Hospital, conducted an
awareness programmed for students of Classes VIII and IX. The session focused
on accessing mental health services during catastrophes and emergencies and
highlighted the use of helpline number 1098
for immediate assistance. The programmed was highly informative and encouraged
students to prioritize mental well-being.
